Fellowship award for Glamorgan Historian
February 2, 2012
Glamorgan historian Olivia Saunders has been awarded a ‘Diversity and International Outreach Fellowship’ by the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations. The award will allow her to attend SHAFR’s upcoming conference in Hartford, Connecticut, on Revolutionary Aftermaths where she’ll present a paper on ‘Britain, the United States, and the Bolivian National Revolution’ as part of a panel on ‘Foreign Influences and Interventions in the Bolivian Revolution of 1952’.
Dr Saunders was awarded her Ph.D. last year by the University of London (Institute for the Study of the Americas). She now works as a researcher for the project World of Copper: Globalising the Industrial Revolution, 1830-1870 alongside Chris Evans at Glamorgan.
